Study Finds Using Public Bathroom Hand Dryers is Actually Really Gross!!

By: Li Chen

A group of scientists at the University of Connecticut have found that using  a bathroom hand dryer not only drys your hand, but also flings nasty little poop particles – all over user’s face and hand.

Scientists use bacteria-collecting plate and find that putting your hands under the hand dryer wind for 30 seconds on average has 18 to 60 bacterial colonies. If you  compare, this to a small fan in restroom for 20 minutes on average they have 12 to 15 bacterial colonies.

For your own health, try to use paper towel and stay away from bathroom hand dryers!
