Our Products: 

What ingredients do you use in your products?

All of our products are as natural as we can possibly make them without requiring refrigeration. Our scrubs are made with natural sea salt and sugar and are 99.7% natural, while are body washes are approximately 90% natural. All of our products, including our hair care line, contain coconut oil, natural fruits and extracts, Vitamin A, and Vitamin E. Each product has a more detailed, complete list on the label. 

What don't your body washes lather?

Our body washes are approximately 87%-90% natural, containing only about 10% sulfate. According to Illumai.com, “sulfates are aggressive detergents made of sulfur-containing mineral salts…responsible for the foaming lather we’ve come to associate with being clean.” While sulfate may be effective in extracting dirt and oils from your skin and hair, it’s a little too effective. It ends up stripping healthy and natural oils from your skin and hair, making it harmful and abrasive. That’s why we include as little of it as possible, which is also why our body washes don’t lather up like other, non-natural products. Basically, less lather equals no damage and harmful substances!

Why do you use coconut oil?

We use coconut oil because it has great benefits for your skin. Coconut oil is a strong cleansing and hydrating oil that also gives loads of natural energy. Coconut oil's antiseptic properties help the skin look and feel healthy and young, with a glowing radiance that is free from common skin afflictions. It may also be used to help minimize stretch marks over time and has even shown success at reducing scars. 

Why do you use Vitamin A & Vitamin E?

We load up on Vitamin A because it helps the skin rebuild tissues and it is essential to healing damaged skin. We add in Vitamin E to reduce the appearance of age spots, wrinkles, stretch marks, and lines.

Are there any parabens, synthetics, or polybeads in your products?

Our products are free of parabens, synthetics, polybeads, and toxic chemicals. Urban Hydration uses herbal extracts to ensure that our products are gluten-free and vegan-friendly.

Does Urban Hydration test on animals?

No, Urban Hydration does not test on animals. All products are cruelty free. 

How long can I keep a product after opening it?

Each product is good for a year after you open it. To ensure the freshness of your product, make sure that you tightly close or seal after use to avoid mold or mildew developing in the jar. 

How should I store my Urban Hydration products?

As we mentioned earlier, our products don’t require refrigeration, but they should still be handled with care because of the amount of natural oils and fruit extracts that are in them. Our scrubs contain only one preservative to eliminate the need to refrigerate it. Because it’s so natural and contains so little chemicals/preservatives, we highly recommend that you close the jar immediately after use. This is especially important if using it in the shower. Closing the lid as soon as you scoop out the products is the best way to avoid mold or mildew developing inside the jar and keep it super fresh! We want you to enjoy your product as long as you possibly can.

How do I return a product?

We do not offer returns or exchanges unless your product is damaged or defective. If you receive a damaged product, please contact customerlove@uiglobalbrands.com and submit photos of the damaged or defective product and we will be happy to exchange your product. In your email, please include photos of damaged product, name, address, and product to be exchanged.
