World Cup and The Pot Noodle Cut?

Neymar, a popular football (soccer) player from the Brazilian team, has received a lot of social buzz around his hairstyle for the World Cup, now dubbed the “Pot Noodle Cut.”  Neymar permed his blonde/bleached hair into a style that has raised a lot of attention. Personally, I think it looks awesome!

Brazil tied Switzerland 1-1 in their Father’s Day matchup on 6/17  and has upcoming matchups against Serbia and Costa Rica.  The World Cup, which is taking place in Russia, includes 32 teams from around the world. According to CNN, more than 3 billion people watched the World Cup in 2014.

People have taken to Twitter to describe their perception of Neymar’s haircut, with multiple versions and takes. Here at Urban Hydration we celebrate the variety of ways that men and women create hairstyles that reflect their personality and mood. Other players have been spotted with combed out afros, mohawks, and other hairstyles on the field. Are you doing anything special with your hair for the World Cup? Let us know in the comments!
