Why Pomegranate is Great for Your Skin: Part 3

Why Pomegranate is Great for Your Skin: Part 3

The pomegranate is an interesting, vibrantly-colored fruit that originates in Iran. It’s a very popular fruit that’s even considered to be “lucky” in certain Middle Eastern cultures. The pomegranate has since made its way to America and in our very own skincare products—in fact, we have a whole collection dedicated to this fruit! So, what’s all the hype about? Why did we choose to include this ingredient in our body wash, body cream, and scrub, as opposed to other, more traditional fruits? Here’s why.

It’s filled with moisture:

We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention something about the pomegranate’s hydrating properties, since that’s what we’re all about here at Urban Hydration. The seeds found in the pomegranate are actually full of punicic acid, which is a moisturizing agent. In addition, the small molecular structure of pomegranate enables it to penetrate deeply into the skin, making it effective for treating dry skin. It has the ability to soothe dry, cracked and irritated skin as it also contains an omega-5 fatty acid that hydrates skin and prevents moisture loss.

Bonus: the pomegranate also smells amazing, and we’ve bottled of these amazing benefits, plus the smell, to create the perfect skin rejuvenating collection for you!

Why do you love the pomegranate? Have you tried our collection yet? Let us know in the comments!
