Miss Jamaica Wore an Afro for Miss Universe...And We Love It!

There is no such thing as a universal beauty standard. Miss Jamaica, Davina Bennett wore her afro proudly at the Miss Universe pageant, reaching the top 3 in the global contest. Women, men, boys, and girls with coils and curls around the world have another person to look up to as a force for positivity and beauty.

The 21-year old was named 2nd runner up at the Miss Universe pageant. 

During the last round Bennett was asked this question, ''What quality in yourself are you most proud of and how will make you apply that to your time as Miss Universe?''. Davina responded, ''It is my drive and determination. I am part of a foundation that helps deaf people. This platform will be a great platform to help people.''
