Zazie Beetz is slaying the superhero movie genre in her newest role as Domino in Deadpool 2. She was born in Berlin, Germany and she speaks both English and German. Her father is German and her mother is African American. She has held previous roles in Atlanta, Applesauce, and Finding Her.
Rumor has it that Kerry Washington, Janelle Monae, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw were considered for the part. In the comics, Domino has long, straight hair and is a member of the superhero team X-Force. According to Wikipedia, Domino has telekinetic powers, superior reflexes and agility, marksmanship skills, and is advanced at martial arts. Domino has also been affiliated with the popular X-Men team in the past.
Zazie has been receiving a lot of press ahead of the launch of the movie, which will be in full release on May 18th, 2018. We are excited about her flourishing career and we’re even more excited to see her beautiful afro, and of course her great acting, on full display in the movie!
