Eating Habits Affect Skin’s Protection Against Sun

Eating Habits Affect Skin’s Protection Against Sun

A study produced by UT Southwestern Medical Center has found a surprising connection between eating time and skin health.

The experiment was conducted on mice. Researchers found that mice fed at an abnormal time more easily received skin damage under simulated sun light (UV light) compared to regular fed mice.

One reason for that is the biological clock of an enzyme that protects skin cells against harmful radiation is disrupts by abnormal eating time.

More studies need to be conducted to conclude this situation also applies to humans.
